Kaslo Youth Film Camp 2013 – Final Films

I was lucky enough this past weekend to teach a group of 8 youngsters (ages 11-14) from Kaslo BC the art of documentary filmmaking. With the cooperation of Aaron at Buddy’s Front Street Pizzeria, the students learned about planning a film, conducting interviews, operating DSLRs, and editing in Final Cut.  In just 6 hours from start to finish, our two groups produced these two short films:

Facilitated by Nelson BC filmmaker Julien Locke, the 2013 Kaslo Youth Film Camp took place at the Kaslo & District Public Library and was supported by the Columbia Basin Trust and the Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy.
